About me

I'm Marc. I love Star Wars, Pearl Jam, my Rottweiler Princess Leia, no-kill animal rescues, Martin acoustic guitars, women who can sing, Mexican food, my nieces and nephews, and long walks on the beach. I've also helped generate more than $34 million in revenues for employers and clients since 2001 by integrating traditional and experiential solutions to cultivate awareness, leads, traffic and revenue.

As the current Development Manager for Save-A-Pet Adoption Center, I've generated more than $3 million dollars in donations, initiated the launch of a 1,000+ person membership program, formed an Advisory Council to support major gift prospecting, and I've tripled the number of Save-A-Pet’s e-mail contacts and Facebook fans.

Working in high-visibility marketing roles for ten years prepared me for this shift to the nonprofit sector. In addition to seeking more personal fulfillment in my work, it seemed that innovative marketing and development strategies could greatly help nonprofits to grow and prosper in today's economic culture. It turns out that I was correct.

Almost all of the strategies and tactics necessary to generate relevant awareness, connections and revenues hold true for nonprofit organizations. I STRONGLY urge all small to medium nonprofits to embrace and engage in e-mail marketing, social media campaigns, online giving, media relations, and local business partnerships. I also encourage local businesses to connect with area nonprofits whose missions and causes have genuine meaning to you and your clients & customers.
